What’s news at the Strathalbyn Vet Clinic?  We recently decided to assist a couple of our loyal clients with their organization called ‘12th of Never’.

Here’s a quick rundown on what this awesome couple do:

The 12th of Never is a foundation built by two lovely people from Callington, South Australia.  Cheryl and Bob travel to Kenya and surrounding areas on a frequent basis to assist with the local villages and their provisions. They have helped over the years with the input of solar energy, assisting the local doctors clinic with baby scales, microscopes, stationary and supplies and are even sponsoring the local English teacher in the school with his university tuition. Cheryl and Bob also have two African ‘daughters’ who they have been on contact with since 2000.  Thanks largely to their love and support both have now gone on to be enrolled in college. The 12th of Never also has dealings with the Sheldrick Elephant orphanage and Moon Bears- Animals Asia, and truly shows how two people can have such a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate.

Cheryl and Bob are just about to head off again on another African trip.  The Strathalbyn Veterinary Clinic team have offered to donate our pre-loved ultrasound machine to be used in the local doctor’s clinic in Aitong and surrounding districts. This, along with goodies donated by other companies, (including a dental machine and a microscope) will hopefully have a positive effect on the community. From all of us at the clinic, we would like to say a massive thankyou and congratulations to Cheryl and Bob on their hard work and their achievements over the years, and keep up the good work!! Please jump onto their website at http://www.12thofnever.net and have a look at their heart warming story.

  • Very proud of Cheryl and Bob,
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead
where there is no path and leave a trail.
