Dr Mills loves a good surgical, ophthalmology or oncology case. With over 30 years experience in practice including 2 years working in England, Alan still loves helping animals and their owners. Alan and his wife share their lives with 2 dogs ( Bella and Darcy) and 2 cats (Edward and Pearl). Always up for a chat, and never short of a story Alan is very proud of the evolution of our practice and the standard of care we offer.

Dr Mills has two beautiful dogs, Bella and Darcy, and two feline friends Pearl and Edward.

With an interest in orthopedics, Dr Hayward just loves a challenging surgical case! Dr Hayward is also a small animal surgeon and deals with emergency medicine. No wonder he needs to unwind; when he’s not helping sick pets, Dr Hayward enjoys cycling, golf and surfing.

Dr Hayward is the proud owner of Wallenby (Wally), the adorable cavie, and a cat called Rosie.

Dr Walker’s main interests include small animal internal medicine and ultrasonography. In her spare time, Dr Walker enjoys cooking, camping, travelling and spending time with her two daughters.

Dr Walker loves her little troublemaker Wally, and their cat Rosie who loves a good cuddle.

Dr Graham has experience of working with a variety of animals in Adelaide and the Riverland, and she has been with Vets First for more than three years. Having grown up in NSW on the mid-north coast, Dr Graham moved to the area after she graduated in 2009.

Dr Graham lives with her husband, two kids and four cats: Poppy, Steven, Mouse and Willow.

Dr Blom’s furred and feathered family includes her two staghound x dogs, Ted and Samantha, and an albino magpie named Arty.

Dr Anna is a wealth of knowledge, with a special interest in animal behaviour. She’s a local to the area, and has been a vet for over 10 years!

Along with being a self-professed ‘crazy sheep lady’, Dr Anna loves all animals large and small. She has two dogs (Mr Fox and Henny), 2 cats, many sheep (including Lobster the 3-legged sheep), goats, ducks, cows and a horse.

Dr Andri joined the team early this year after graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2020. Her passions are internal medicine and emergency medicine. When she has time, she loves drawing, reading big chunky sci-fi or fantasy books and finding the yummiest places to eat around SA.

Nina grew up in the Adelaide Hills and has spent the last 4 years working in mixed practice on the Fleurieu after graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2017. She has an interest in small animal surgery and internal medicine.  

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her newborn son, 3 dogs (Captain, Cooper and Zoe), working in the garden, and sewing.

Kendall is our fabulous Practice Manager that joined the team early in 2020. Bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from her Senior Vet Nurse days, Kendall has been a wonderfully supportive member of the team.

Kendall brings her border collie Winston to work regularly for cuddles. She also has two cats named Pickles and Napoleon.

Luckily for us, Millie decided to stay with us to train as a veterinary nurse after working with us as a kennel hand in 2013. Milly is aiming to study animal behaviour and animal nutrition in more detail, and we can’t wait to watch her excel!

Milly has two cats called Reed and Diego, a Maltese x Shih Tsu called Lilly and the biggest, beautiful boofhead Rigby.

Jenna initially joined our team as a part-time receptionist but has eagerly started her training as a vet nurse. Her enthusiasm to learn is infectious and we are very lucky to have her.

Tess emigrated from the UK to study Veterinary Science when she was 18, and along the way fell in love with nursing. She has since worked full time in veterinary clinics as a veterinary
nurse and receptionist for over 6 years. Tess has experience working with a whole range of animals from cattle and horses to cats, dogs, exotic pets, and wildlife! Her passion is for customer service and client education so you
will find her on reception happy to answer any questions you have.

At home she lives with her husband Ben who is a large animal veterinarian and their border collie Indy (Iandiana Bones) and 2 rescue cats Bill and Lupin, a ragdoll.  She enjoys spending the weekends eating good food and socialising with friends.

Dani is the proud owner of Polly, the very unique Frenchie x Golden Retriever/Kelpie, and her two cats Bowie and Major Tom!

A Goolwa local for over two decades, Cheri finds joy in dancing, baking, and exploring new destinations. .Cheri’s household boasts an adorable trio of furry companions - Milo and Misty, the family cats, and the mischievous Marcel the rabbit.

One of our most reliable kernel hands, Nikki has a real passion for all animals, not just dogs. Currently studying to be a veterinarian at the University of Adelaide, we’re really lucky to have Nikki helping out at the clinic.

Nikki’s dog Mia is an Australian cattle dog, and she also owns birds, chicken and three cats called Molly, Bella and Shelby.
