With over 30 years experience in practice including 2 years working in England, Alan still loves helping animals and their owners.  Always up for a chat, and never short of a story. Alan is very proud of the evolution of our practice and the standard of care we offer.

With an interest in orthopedics,  Rhys just loves a challenging surgical case! Rhys's main interests include small animal surgery and emergency medicine.  When he’s not helping sick pets, Rhys enjoys cycling, golf and surfing.

Rhys is the proud owner of Wallenby - a handsome Cavalier and a cat called Rosie.
Dr Katrina Walker

Katrina's main interests include small animal internal medicine and ultrasonography. Having worked and studied in Melbourne, North-East Victoria, and Sydney, Katrina is well travelled and very experienced. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys cooking, camping, travelling and spending time with her two daughters.

Katrina loves her little troublemaker Wally, and their cat Rosie who loves a good cuddle.

Ashley has experience of working with a variety of animals in Adelaide and the Riverland, and she has been with Vets First for more than three years. Having grown up in NSW on the mid-north coast, Ashley moved to the area after she graduated in 2009.

Ashley lives with her husband, two kids and four cats: Poppy, Steven, Mouse and Willow.

Anna is a wealth of knowledge, with a special interest in animal behaviour. She’s a local to the area, and has been a vet for over 10 years!

Along with being a self-professed ‘crazy sheep lady’, Anna loves all animals large and small. She has two dogs (Mr Fox and Henny), 2 cats, many sheep (including Lobster the 3-legged sheep), goats, ducks, cows and a horse.

Milly's journey with us began in 2013 as a kennel hand while still in school. Since then, she's become a certified veterinary nurse and completed a certificate in feline behaviour.  Milly's passion for animals, educating clients and supporting our team led her to transition into our Practice Management in 2023.

Milly lives with her boyfriend and their Staffy x - Rigby and two super cuddly cats - Reed and Diego.
Veterinary Receptionist 
Jenna joined our team is 2019 as our receptionist at our Victor Central Clinic. Her favourite thing is feeding treats to all of our patients over the reception counter. Jenna enjoys traveling, watching crime documentaries and spending time with family and friends. 

Jenna has a beautiful golden retriever called Kali, a handsome German shepherd named Jetta and two rascally ginger cats called Bubbles and Tiger. 
Veterinary Receptionist
Kim joined our team in 2023. A proud mother of three, including spirited twins, Kim's nurturing nature extends to our clients and their pets. Kim loves the outdoors, regularly going on camping adventures and participating in all kinds of sport. 
Kim and her family have a playful border collie named Tillie.
Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Receptionist
Tess emigrated from the UK to study Veterinary Science when she was 18, and along the way fell in love with nursing. Her passsion is for customer service and client education so you will find her on reception happy to answer any questions you have. 

At home she lives with her husband Ben who is a large animal veterinarian and their border collie Indy (Iandiana Bones) and 2 rescue cats Bill and Lupin.

With a particular interest in dog behaviour and surgery, Louise loves looking after all types of animals. A fully qualified veterinary nurse, Louise has worked in clinics across Adelaide and Coffs Harbour. She is currently studying her Certificate 4 in Animal Behaviour. 

 Lou is one of our wonderful puppy preschool demonstrators and has her work cut out with her young labrador called Ella.

Multi-skilled and a true animal lover, Dani is a certified veterinary nurse and puppy expert.
 Dani likes looking for gemstones and is also keen on travelling and exploring.

Dani is the proud owner of Polly, the very unique Frenchie x Golden Retriever/Kelpie, and her two cats Bowie and Major Tom!

Steph joined the team in 2016 and has since become a veterinary nurse. She has lived on a farm locally her whole life and has loved animals ever since she can remember!

Steph has a horse called Ace, a kelpie called Archie, and a very affectionate cat called Drew.

Nic joined our team in 2019 and is an avid animal lover. Nic also has plenty of experience in the animal care industry and has a passion for patient care and wellbeing. 

Nic lives with her husband and their 9 dogs, 2 macaws, a little corella, 21 chickens, and 3 pet cows.

Nic is currently on maternity leave.

Heidi joined our team in 2020 as one of our traineenurses when wanting a career change - electing to pursue her passion for animal care. Heidi loves taking care of all the animals that come to see us, offering them all the extra love and treats!

Heidi has a Cocker Spaniel named Tahi Tou, a cat named Sooky and two birds - Remi and Donald.

Kristin is a registered veterinary nurse who joined our team in 2021. Kristin is passionate about wildlife and enjoys learning and understanding animal behaviour.

Kristin has a menagerie of pets at home
including a parrot named Wasabi, and three golden retrievers.

Cheri joined our team in 2023 while studying her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, which she went on to complete in 2024! She brings a deep affection for animals to our team.  A goolwa local for over two decades, Cheri finds joy in dancing, baking, and exploring new destinations.


Cheri’s household includes Milo the family cat, and mischievous Marcel the rabbit.

Katie first joined our team in 2014, becoming a qualified nurse, before spending a couple of years interstate with her family. We welcome her return to SA in 2024! Katie enjoys assisting in surgery and loves nursing our hospitalised patients.


Katie lives with her husband and two kids, their cat - Sylvia and lots of chickens.

Kendall is our fabulous Practice Manager that joined the team early in 2020. Bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from her Senior Vet Nurse days, Kendall has been a wonderfully supportive member of the team.

Kendall brings her border collie Winston to work regularly for cuddles. She also has two cats named Pickles and Napoleon.

A genuine animal lover, Daisy is one of our fantastic kennel hands. Here at Vets First, we really couldn’t provide our dogs with the level of care they need and deserve without people like Daisy!

Daisy has a horse called Fin with whom she likes to compete. Another two horses, a pony, two dogs, two cats, two alpacas, two goats and two sheep make up Daisy’s impressive menagerie.

One of our most reliable kernel hands, Nikki has a real passion for all animals, not just dogs. Currently studying to be a veterinarian at the University of Adelaide, we’re really lucky to have Nikki helping out at the clinic.

Nikki’s dog Mia is an Australian cattle dog, and she also owns birds, chicken and three cats called Molly, Bella and Shelby.
